Fry the onions for 10 mins until softened and beginning to caramelise.

While the pasta is cooking melt the butter over medium heat in a large skillet. In the meantime remove and discard the stems of the kale keeping the leafy greens. Add the kale and 100ml water then cover and cook for 5 mins more or until the kale has wilted.
Add the wine and chickpeas to the skillet and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cook until most of the liquid has evaporated off. Toss the hot pasta with the sauce kale and just enough of the reserved pasta water to carry the sauce throughout all the noodles.
Drain and run the cooked kale under cold water to stop the cooking process. Heat a pot of water to boiling on high. Heat the oil in a large pan over a medium heat.
Top with Parm salt and pepper. Once the water is boiling cook the kale leaves for 2 to 3 minutes or until tender. Sauté for 1-2 minutes.
Drain reserving a little of the cooking water. Once all of the kale is added and has wilted down add the garlic oregano crushed red pepper flakes and a pinch of salt and pepper. Reserve about 2 cups of the water from the pot when you drain the pasta.
